Below is a list of military ranks and ways to advance in rank.  Once you have joined the *V*DEVILS REJECTS*V* Composite Group, you are given a rank depending on your experience and knowledge of the game.  If you are new to the Aces High II Game, you will be given a Warrent Officer rank.  Warrent Officers are considered "In Training" ranks. However; it is the decision of the Group Commanding Officer to give "Field Promotions" according to your experience and overall game knowledge.  Advancement in rank is your responsibility.  Determining factors are as follows:

A:  How much you play the game.

B:  How fast you complete your training and learn the concepts and different aspects of the game.

C:  Your performance with the Group while in the "Base Taking Mode".

D:  Your actions concerning the protocol of your rank and your position within  the Group.

 

 

BASIC TRAINING RANKS

 

The following 5 ranks are ranks for gentlemen new to the game and are considered "Basic Training" ranks.  Once you have passed the exam laid out for each of these ranks, you will be promoted to the next rank. Once you have successfully completed the Phase 1 Training Missions and the Phase 2 Training Missions, you will take the Final Exam to Graduate.  

 

 WARRENT OFFICER 1  (WO-1):  You will be given this rank when you join the Group.  You will go through the Groups Orientation. You will be assigned an Instructor/Trainer to help you in your advancement to the next rank.

 WARRENT OFFICER 2  (WO-2):  Pass the WO-2 Exam.  Exam name:  How to Get Around. The exam will consist of oral questions as well as a guided tour around the map and bases.

 WARRENT OFFICER 3  (WO-3):  Pass an oral exam on Terminology and Types of Vehicles/Aircraft/Ships and their uses in the game.

 WARRENT OFFICER 4  (WO-4):  Successfully complete the following Phase 1 Training Missions:

A: Troop Deployment

       1:  Deploy troops with a GV at a Vehicle Base and Town

       2:  Deploy troops using a C-47 by air drop and landing

B:  Base Porking Runs

       1:  Destroy Ords at an Airfield using a Fighter

       2:  Destroy Troop Barracks at a V-Base using a Fighter

C:  Naval Gunnery

       1:  Sink a CV and Cruiser with 8" guns

       2:  Destroy a Town using 8" guns using the Map

       3:  Destroy incoming enemy aircraft using 5" guns

 WARRENT OFFICER 5  (WO-5):  Successfully complete the following Phase Two Training Missions:

A:  Dogfighting

      

       1:  Perform the following manouvers:

             a:  Split "S"

             b:  Barrel Roll

             c:  Immelman

B:  Bombing in a Bomber

             a:  Destroy Hangers from 10,000 ft

             b:  Sink a CV from 10,000 ft

             c:  Destroy a Town/Factory while flying NOE

C:  Dive Bombing

             a:  Destroy a Hanger on an Airfield/V-Base

             b:  Sink a Cruiser

             c:  Kill a GV

      

Once you have Graduated from Basic Training, You will be promoted to 2nd LIEUTENANT.  You will be required to run supplies and troops as needed during missions.  Taking orders is very important while in these missions. 

 

       2nd LIEUTENANT (USAF)

ENSIGN  (USN)

You are a Basic Training Graduate and/or you have sufficient knowledge of the game when you join the Group. (Prerequisite:  Army Achievement Medal)

 

       1st LIEUTENANT

  LIEUTENANT JUNIOR GRADE (LT JG)

You have served as a 2nd Lieutenant/Ensign with distinction. (Prerequisite: Army Achievement Medal, Air Achievement Medal)

   CAPTAIN (USAF)

   LIEUTENANT (USN)

You have served as 1st Lieutenant/Lt JG with distinction. (Prerequisite:  Army Achievement Medal, Air Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Combat Readiness Medal)

   MAJOR (USAF)

   LIEUTENANT COMMANDER (USN)

 You have served as Captain/Lieutenant with distinction.  (Prerequisite:  Army Achievement Medal, Air Achievement Medal. Navy Achievement Medal, Combat Readiness Medal, Navy or Air Force Good Conduct Medal)

   LIEUTENANT COLONEL:   Once you have served as Major/Lt Commander with distinction and honors and you have distinguished yourself as a Squadron Leader, you may be promoted to this rank. 

   COLONEL:  Once you have served as Lt Colonel with honors and you have distinguished yourself as a Squadron Leader, you may be promoted to Colonel. As Colonel, you will be required lead your Group in missions as deemed necessary by your Commanding Officer.  You must be able to analize the proper Stratagies and Tactics to attack Enemy Bases and or Fleets. There is one exception to receiving this rank.  If you distinguish yourself as an exceptional Fighter Ace you may be promoted to this rank without having a command position in the Group.

   BRIGADIER GENERAL:  Once you have served as Colonel with distinction and honor and you have meritorious service as a Mission Commander, you may be considered for this rank.  This rank is determined by the availability of an Executive Officer.  

 MAJOR GENERAL:  Once you have served as Brigadier General with distinction and honor and you have held a Command position, you may be considered for this rank.  Mission Planning and Meritorious Service to the Group will be taken into consideration for this advancement.  

 LIEUTENANT GENERAL:  Once you have served as Major General with honors and as the Executive Officer, it will be the decision of the Commanding Officer to promote you to this rank.  Mission Planning and Leadership abilities along with Meritorious Sevice to the Group/Wing will be taken into consideration when considering you for this advancement.  The ability to command multi-base take missions will be cinsiered for this advancement.  This rank is the sole rank of the GROUP Commander.

 GENERAL: This is solely the rank of the WING Commander. 

 5 STAR GENERAL:  This rank is solely the rank of the WING COMMANDER of the TRIPLE ALLIANCE.
